Aerie is a stunning and stylish self contained guesthouse situated on a gorgeous mossy bluff, surrounded by luscious forests overlooking the British Columbia coast of Sargeant Bay. The house aims to blur the boundaries between outdoors and indoors and does so with an open plan design and floor-to-ceiling glass walls, making the remarkable scenery inescapable.
The house is extremely roomy, built on one floor with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. The living room area boasts a large wood-burning fireplace, comfy furnishings and a flat screen TV with surround sound. The kitchen is extremely sleek and modern, with a large granite island, meaning there is plenty of room for preparing delicious home cooked meals. Nearby is the dining area, from where you can take in the impressive views. The spacious, open vibe is contrasted with cosy little nooks and crannies located in alcoves with lower ceilings. These are perfect places to curl up with a good book and a warm drink, and they can also be used as extra sleeping areas (at most the house can sleep up to 6 people). The master bedroom is wonderful, with more glass walls as well as patio access. There is a queen sized bed and a modern en suite bathroom with a rain shower. In addition, there is another bathroom with a deep bath, ideal for unwinding in.
Wrapped around one corner of the house is a large decking area, complete with BBQ and al fresco dining facilities. An outdoor hot tub with spectacular views over the water can be accessed through the master bedroom and down the patio steps. The surrounding area of Sargeant Bay is beautiful and has some amazing wildlife. Spend the days hiking, bird watching or relaxing on the beach, and spend the nights relaxing back at the Aerie, whilst enjoying a star spangled night sky. For the more adventurous types, there are activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking and fishing available.
