Just returned from here - stayed 2 weeks. 4 of us - 2 adults, 2 teens. Had a very relaxing time - spacious apartment - all mod cons. Beds were comfortable. Aircon was good. Netflix etc for the teenagers was handy. Good kitchen. Nice resort with beautiful gardens & swimming pools. Security was good, night times were peaceful. Slept well. International feel to the place which made it very enjoyable. Poolside was good,. One small niggle - didn't appreciate having to pay for the use of sunbeds every day - added an extra 280 Euros to the holiday. Bit cheeky when the residents don't pay. Poolside bar was OK and friendly, typical cafe style food, nothing fancy but fine for daytime snacks. Location was good - ten minute walk into Puerto Banus. PB was very expensive. Some nice bars / restaurants within walking distance on the beach. Overall, a really good holiday was had, with no dramas. The English hosts are brilliant and very friendly. Recommended.

Our family stayed in The Penthouse at Alcazaba for a week over Easter. I have to say, it was one of the most magical holidays we have had. The apartment is even better in real life than in the photos! It is so spacious and the decor is absolutely wonderful. The terrace was my favourite spot. I don't know what was better - breakfast in the sunshine, or evening drinks at sundown! Alcazaba itself feels like a botanical retreat. The gardens are so beautiful and the pools are perfect for kids and adults. It was SO peaceful. We were there in April and it wasn't busy at all. The poolside restaurant is really great for a spot of lunch and some rosé if you fancy a glass! All the staff are lovely too. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. A visit to El Corte Inglés shopping centre is a must! They have the most fantastic supermarket in there, which offers an incredible selection of fruit, veg, meat, fish; the lot! There are some lovely little bars on the beach just a short walk away, which offer delicious tapas and if you want something fancier, the marina boasts a wide range of eateries. Further afield, we enjoyed day trips to a local waterpark, Rhonda and Marbella Old Town. I can't recommend The Penthouse at Alcazaba highly enough. It feels like an oasis of calm and tranquility.....even with two small children! Thank you to Suze for all the fabulous tips and recommendations. We will be back! Jane
