The details
Beach Cottage is one of those rare places where the line between indoors and outdoors gently disappears. Set right on the sand dunes at Anderby Creek, this beautifully reimagined coastal retreat places the beach quite literally on your doorstep, offering uninterrupted views, fresh sea air and the soothing soundtrack of waves rolling in. Designed for two adults with space for children, the cottage feels wonderfully cosy yet full of light. The open-plan living space on the ground floor is warm and welcoming, with high-quality furnishings, underfloor heating and a crackling log burner that makes blustery coastal days something to savour. Curl up on the sofa with a book, put on some music via the Bluetooth speaker or simply watch the weather sweep across the shoreline through the windows. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for relaxed self-catering, while the dining area is perfect for lazy breakfasts or candlelit suppers after long walks along the beach. Also on the ground floor is a bunk bedroom for children, a separate WC and a practical hallway with a stable door, ideal if you’re visiting with a dog. Upstairs, the master bedroom is a true highlight. French doors open onto a decked veranda where you can enjoy morning coffee while gazing out across the dunes and sea. The ensuite bathroom features a walk-in shower and a wonderfully indulgent free-standing bath, perfect for soaking away the day with coastal views close by. Outside, the cottage continues to delight. An outdoor shower makes post-beach rinses easy, while the sheltered summer house tucked below the cottage is a much-loved spot for afternoon lounging and evening barbecues as the sun dips low. Beyond the cottage, Anderby Creek offers miles of unspoilt beach and easy access to the Lincolnshire Coastal Park, rich in birdlife and natural beauty. Skegness is just 10 miles away for traditional seaside fun, while the surrounding coastline invites long, restorative walks and slow days spent by the sea.
