A stunning woodland retreat, Birkins Croft is a luxury yurt experience located in the quaint hamlet of Foston, Derbyshire, mere minutes from the charming village of Tutbury. The Bee Hive is the main wooden yurt, sleeping four across a double bed and a pull-out sofa bed. Bookings for larger parties can be accomplished by securing the Honey Comb yurt, sleeping three across a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a single on the top.
This woodland retreat boasts an expanse of outdoor space for guests to truly assimilate with nature, featuring a fire pit area, a hot tub, and an outdoor kitchen complete with a long, homely wooden table for family meals. The retreat further features WiFi, free on-site parking, and a 32 inch TV. Bedding and towels are provided as are tea and coffee making facilities. For added convenience, guests also have a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board, and an electric shower complete with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The shower sits inside a refreshingly modern bathroom hosting forward-thinking wooden interiors and a freestanding sink. We really enjoyed our stay at Birkins Croft. We loved that it is enclosed so the dog was able to relax and enjoy her holiday too! The yurt is cute and cosy (once the fire is going!), we appreciated the internet-connected TV, the kitchen had everything needed and it was great to have a 'proper' bathroom. The only drawbacks are a background traffic 'hum' and limited footpaths to walk out from the site - not much the owners can do about these but might be worth noting for some. Overall I'd happily recommend it to others!

We have just come back from an amazing weekend away here. It is the perfect little woodland retreat. Ellie and Jay were so attentive and helpful. Jay also allowed us to see some of the animals on the farm which was super cute! The hot tub was a welcomed treat and much bigger than the one in the photos! The Yurt was incredibly cozy and the Bathroom and Kitchen were both very well done and equipped with everything you may need. Close by there are local supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. We will defiantly look to come back soon! Thank you for such a lovely retreat!
