We had the pleasure of staying at Cleugh Foot for the first time this weekend with our family, and it was absolutely wonderful. The cottage is set in a truly idyllic location — peaceful, secluded, and perfect for the dogs to run and explore. There are beautiful walks right from the doorstep, as well as plenty more just a short drive away. Inside, the cottage is warm and welcoming, with a lovely cosy feel. The log fire in the lounge was perfect for drying off and unwinding after wet walks. The hot tub was a real treat too — it heated up quickly and made for a relaxing spot to soak while enjoying the stunning views. We spotted lots of deer and other wildlife during our stay, which made it feel even more special. It’s a perfect place for a summer break, but we can imagine it being just as magical in the winter. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful cottage in the Cumbrian countryside. 4 Adults 1 child & 1 dog couldn't of had a better environment for a quiet family holiday. The cottage itself inside has very modern fixtures & fittings but still has that rustic feel with a log burner in the living room. Hot tub was amazing and kept its heat very well even in the rain. Lovely walks on your doorstep to the river & suspension bridge, with the beautiful church & grounds across it. Kitchen & dining room have everything you require along with the large kettle BBQ on the decking. Couldn't fault anything, even the communication from the owners is excellent. Hopefully will be returning at some point as my Granddaughter said why do we have to leave, she loved it probably as much as the Labrador, brilliant for dogs as well, loads of open space for your dog to roam & not worry about other dogs or people. Didn't see a sole for 3 days apart from the wildlife. Deer & Hares in the garden of a morning. Amazing place.
