The details
Nestled deep on the edge of a private Welsh woodland, The Forager’s Cabin is a true back-to-nature escape where slow living, thoughtful design and woodland luxury come together effortlessly. Surrounded by mature trees and overlooking 10 acres of semi-ancient broadleaved woodland, this handcrafted hideaway invites you to switch off, breathe deeply and let the rhythm of the forest set the pace. Designed with sustainability at its heart, the cabin has been built using reclaimed materials and finished with earthy textures, rich tones and nature-inspired art. Inside, it feels wonderfully calm and cocooning. A cloud-like super-king size bed promises blissful nights to the soundtrack of rustling leaves, while the cosy living space centres around a crackling wood-burning stove and a huge round picture window that frames the woodland beyond. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for slow breakfasts and hearty suppers, and the bathroom features a walk-in rain shower with eco toiletries and a flushing loo. Step outside and the experience truly unfolds. Two separate decks give you different ways to soak up the setting. One is perfect for alfresco dining with a BBQ, big wooden chairs and space for long evenings of stargazing. The other is tucked deeper into the trees, creating a secluded nook for sinking into the wood-fired hot tub, glass in hand, as the day fades away. A short stroll into the woods brings you to the woodland spa. Beneath a majestic beech tree sits the wood-fired sauna, complete with its own fire pit and seating area. Whether you’re starting the day gently or unwinding after a hike, this is a place to reconnect with nature and yourself. At the far end of the woods, a specially created sundowner spot looks out towards rolling hills, perfect for fireside cooking, sunset drinks and moments of complete stillness. When you’re ready to explore, Wild Wales stretches out in every direction. The cabin sits between the Shropshire Hills and Snowdonia, with quiet trails, hill walks and soulful views on the doorstep. From scenic hikes to river swims, castle ruins and standout local food spots, there’s plenty to discover before retreating back to your woodland sanctuary.
