We have just returned from a wonderful weekend in Freya’s Farmhouse. What a fabulous treat it was. Looks just the pictures, is cosy, welcoming, feels like home from home. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Sort of place you can’t wait to explore the second you open the front door. The beds are comfy. The linen soft and cosy, the shower is amazing and with Aesop toiletries you can leave your shower gel at home. In the pictures in does look like it’s on it’s own but the house is part of a farm that offers different accommodation (all of which looked amazing) and that doesn’t really come across in the advert. It doesn’t affect the property at all, we felt very private and not overlooked in the hot tub. But if you particularly wanted no neighbours just be aware of that. It’s also under the flight path to East Midlands. It wasn’t any sort of issue for us but they do start early morning. We had our window open so we heard them. Windows closed, you don’t hear them. We used the sauna and the hot tub. Went on wonderful walks from the front gate and came home feeling very lucky to have found this place for a weekend and we will almost certainly be back.
