Once the summer home of the Duchess of Bedford, this grand Highland residence now welcomes guests to experience its unique blend of old-world elegance and contemporary luxury. With its turret bathroom, roll-top baths, vast living spaces and glorious views of the Cairngorm mountains, this is a true showpiece of Highland heritage. Lovingly restored in 2019, Kincraig House has been transformed into a luxurious country retreat that sleeps up to 18 guests in supreme comfort. Its interiors weave together period architecture, heirlooms and original features with soft Scandinavian tones and modern touches, creating a serene atmosphere of laid-back grandeur. The double-height entrance hall, complete with sweeping staircase and statement picture window, sets the tone from the moment you arrive. The living areas are vast and inviting, with multiple lounges, each featuring wood-burning stoves for cosy nights by the fire. The kitchen and dining room are perfect for grand family feasts, with space for all 18 guests to dine together while taking in sweeping views across farmland towards the Cairngorms. There’s also a rustic games room in a separate outbuilding and plenty of space for children to explore and play hide and seek in the house and gardens. Eight beautifully appointed bedrooms are spread across three floors, including a showstopping principal suite that occupies an entire wing. Here you’ll find a freestanding roll-top bath beside the super-king size bed, while several other rooms boast their own ensuite bathrooms with indulgent bathtubs and showers. The turret bathroom on the top floor is a real highlight, a domed sanctuary where you can soak in a roll-top bath while gazing out over the Highland landscape.
