The details
The Llanfendigaid Estate is located on one of the most breath-taking stretches of Welsh coastline and yet nestled in Snowdonia National Park, known for its challenging climbs and stunning rural landscapes. The main property is the elegant Llanfendigaid House. This stunning country house has a history dating all the way back to the 13th century. Sleeping up to 18 guests, this charming house is the perfect setting for group celebrations or a large family excursion. On site, guests can explore the gorgeous local countryside, enjoy some al fresco dining by the BBQ, or even arrange a day of pampering. If that’s not enough, there’s also a heated indoor swimming pool – with seats for those who prefer to stay poolside. The interior has been refurbished with the historical character of the house kept firmly in mind. Period features can be found throughout - such as panelled walls and timber framing - while various family portraits, antiques, and memorabilia collected by the owners over 200 years add to the unique character of Llanfendigaid. There are two reception rooms: one with a TV and the other housing a collection of books. Both have comfortable seating and a wood burning stove. The dining room has a large table which seats 16 guests, while the fully equipped kitchen provides the ideal catering setting for large groups. The house has nine bedrooms which can sleep up to 18 guests in total: four super king, one standard double, two twin rooms, one triple bedroom, one single bedroom. Two travel cots are available for those bringing little ones. The house has three family bathrooms and four further WCs. The house is surrounded by a gorgeously maintained acre of private garden, which includes its very own BBQ and outdoor dining area. In the summer months this is the perfect setting for some al fresco dining. There are also a further three acres of shared ground on the estate for guests to explore. The house shares an additional three acres with the five other properties on the estate. Guests are encouraged to walk up the hill behind the house and through the woodland to find the secret bench where they can truly admire the estate’s coastal location. Due to the estate’s rural setting, it offers a relaxed environment for a stress-free getaway or get-together in beautiful Wales. Free from background noise and light pollution – the area is one of only eighteen International Dark Sky Reserves in the world – you can expect a soul-enriching stay and spectacular stargazing opportunities.
