The details

Fulfil your childhood fantasies and set out on a magical, treetop adventure at this seriously grown-up treehouse amongst Somerset’s lush, country pastures. Hidden seven miles from historic Bath in the sleepy village of Philip St Norton, the Old Mill Treehouse will capture your imagination. Prepare for birdsong in the morning and breakfast on the balcony, along with Champagne at nightfall amongst the moonlit canopy.

The luxury treehouse is set within an acre of rural, country gardens and is nestled past a sparkling stream at the end of a meandering pathway. Perched up on stilts and woven around thick woodland branches, it has been carefully designed to blend in with its natural surroundings.

Behind its fairy tale exterior lies an indulgent, treetop pad complete with a stylish boudoir and a sleek en-suite bathroom. Picture vintage leather sofas and a soothing colour palette, along with plush fur rugs and inspirational artwork. Pad across the chic wooden floors to your designer en-suite bathroom, where you’ll find a deluxe power shower with lashings of hot water. Wrap up in the thick, fluffy towels and curl up in your sink-in double bed, listening to the silence of the country and planning your days ahead.

Old Mill Treehouse also has some new kitchen facilities located directly below the treehouse. The kitchen features a new oven, hob, fridge, microwave and everything you may need prepare tasty meals during your stay.

In the mornings, you can sit out amongst the tranquil forest canopy enjoying the breakfast items you'll find on arrival. Watch for the cheeky little squirrels, the colourful woodpeckers, the deer and woodland pheasants. In the evenings, you can sit out amongst your twinkling lights, watching the nocturnal woodland creatures as they spring into life. If it’s too cold to sit out then you can hide away indoors, turning up the heating and watching your favourite TV shows.

If you can tear yourself away from the comfort of your treehouse then there are plenty of adventures to be had in the local area. Embark on long, rural walks amongst the rugged Somerset countryside, or visit the beautiful city of Bath with its fascinating architecture. If you choose to dine out, make sure you visit one of the Michelin-starred restaurants before heading back.

A wonderful stay in a unique location. Our host was very friendly and keen to make sure we had everything we needed. Lovely outdoor kitchen - the weather wasn't brilliant, but it didn't detract from our stay.
