The details

Old Tile Cottage is a beautifully restored, four-bedroom beach house set right on Seasalter Beach, offering uninterrupted sea views from its generous living space and three of its superb bedrooms. Located just over a kilometre from the heart of Whitstable, you’re a scenic 20–30 minute stroll along the beach into town, making it the perfect blend of peaceful retreat and seaside convenience.

When you arrive, you’ll be drawn straight to the showstopping terrace, where comfy outdoor seating, alfresco dining tables and endless sea views create the perfect spot for sundowners or lazy afternoons. This really is the star of the show and offers you the chance to relax on comfy outdoor seating whilst really making the most of your incredible surroundings. Then, step through the glass doors into the open-plan living area, where two lounge spaces await - one cosy and firelit for movie nights, the other bright and breezy with views stretching across the sea that features two leather egg chairs and a three-seater sofa.

When tummies rumble, head to the fully-equipped kitchen, which makes entertaining a breeze. There’s a large larder fridge, freezer, electric and combi ovens, hob, microwave, dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine for that all-important first cup of the day. A generous dining table for 10 sits in prime position by the window - so you can enjoy a fab meal with a view.

When night falls, the bedrooms are set across the upper floors. On the first floor, the stunning master has a king size bed, walk-in wardrobe and a luxurious ensuite complete with a bath boasting one of the best views in town. Sliding doors open onto a private balcony - ideal for your morning coffee - which adds another touch of luxury to your stay. The second sea-facing bedroom also has a king size bed and balcony access, while the third is a cosy double overlooking the garden. The second floor houses a spacious loft-style bedroom with a Juliet balcony, a king size bed and a pull-out bed that sleeps two more - perfect for a couple with kids or a laid-back den for teens. This room also has its own ensuite bathroom for added privacy.

There's also a modern family bathroom, a downstairs shower room and a practical utility area. Out back, a patio with table tennis keeps the fun going.

When you’re ready to explore, Whitstable’s charm is right on your doorstep. Wander along the shoreline to reach the working harbour, where you’ll find fresh oysters, artisan stalls and waterside cafés. Or head to Harbour Street, home to a lively mix of independent shops, galleries and foodie favourites. Whether you’re here for the sea, the sunsets or the seafood, Old Tile Cottage offers the perfect base to soak it all in.
