The details

The Llanfendigaid Estate is located on one of the most breath-taking stretches of Welsh coastline and yet nestled in Snowdonia National Park, known for its challenging climbs and stunning rural landscapes.

This meticulously refurbished Grade II* listed Stable Cottage sits in the middle of the estate and has been lovingly renovated by the owners to ensure that its rustic heritage remains intact, while also providing all the necessary mod cons to ensure the most luxurious stay possible.

Sleeping up to four guests (in two rooms), the cottage is a luxury countryside retreat, perfect for couples and small families. Besides its charming countryside setting, guests will be free to enjoy newly refurbished heated indoor swimming pool, enjoy a spot of table tennis, or organise their very own spa package. And if that wasn't enough, the Irish Sea is a hop and a skip from the front door.

The downstairs is open planned, with a fully equipped modern kitchen and a cosy lounge area - complete with a comfortable couch and wood burning stove contained within an original stone hearth. There is also an under stairs WC. Underneath vaulted timber framed ceilings are two upstairs bedrooms: one double and one twin room. Both contain very comfortable beds made up of the finest linens. The family bathroom has recently been on the receiving end of a stunning makeover. With pretty pink tiles and a decadent roll top bath with a Burlington shower overhead, it’s relaxation personified. The upper floor also contains a collection of books that are there to be read.  Outside, guests will be able to avail of their very own private garden. The BBQ and outdoor seating make this the perfect spot for some al fresco dining in the warmer months.

The cottage shares an additional three acres with the five other properties on the estate. Guests are encouraged to walk up the hill behind the house and through the woodland to find the secret bench where they can truly admire the estate’s coastal location.

Due to the estate’s rural setting, it offers a relaxed environment for a stress-free getaway or get-together in beautiful Wales. Free from background noise and light pollution – the area is one of only eighteen International Dark Sky Reserves in the world – you can expect a soul-enriching stay and spectacular stargazing opportunities.
