Historical beauty meets modern luxury at Telfit, a renovated Georgian escape in the rural charm of the Yorkshire Dales. This spacious getaway is located in a picturesque valley and is surrounded by beautiful countryside.
The farmhouse is home to 10 bedrooms and has maintained its traditional touches but now has all the amenities needed for 21st Century living. Guests enter Telfit into a spacious hall which runs into the drawing room at the heart of the home, complete with a large open fireplace. There is also a further television room with wood burning stove for those cosy nights in. The family kitchen is fully equipped with American style fridges and a range cooker, making it perfect for preparing culinary delights to be enjoyed in the dining area in the attached conservatory.
The first of the bedrooms is a double and is also located on the ground floor along with an en-suite bathroom. Upstairs are seven further bedrooms, six of which are doubles with 3 of those having the capacity to be turned into twins. There is also a twin bedroom and then the master suite - which has spectacular views across the Dales and is complete with a king size bed and private bathroom with antique freestanding bath and separate shower.
The Cart House sits alongside the farmhouse and offers more privacy. Inside is a double bedroom with antique French bed, bathroom with bath and shower, kitchen, and downstairs double bedroom which can be made into a twin, plus a sofa bed.
From the kitchen in the main building French doors lead to the outside space. Here there is a terrace, wooden hot tub, sauna and firepit, plus croquet lawn and more views across the rolling hills beyond.
Finally, a converted barn completes Telfit, which has a wood burning stove, oak floors, and original beams and is the ideal location for events; from weddings to yoga retreats.
There are several walking and cycling routes through one of Great Britain's most beautiful natural areas right on the doorstep. The market town of Richmond with its cobbled streets and medieval castle is only five miles away, while Leyburn, Reeth, and Hawes are also popular nearby destinations.

I cannot speak highly enough of Telfit Farm. It was the most perfect weekend with friends we could have asked for. The views are incredible and you feel like you’re in your own world. Everything from the kitchen to the lounge areas, to the bedrooms and en-suites have been designed and created beautifully. The other annexes are also amazing, with a ping pong table and yoga room where we had a class overlooking the beautiful Dales. If you’re looking for somewhere to retreat, relax and refresh this is the place to go. Can’t also speak more highly of Victoria for all of her help and guidance!

The excitement built as we drove up the awe inspiring dale to this magnificent destination. We arrived at what seemed to be a hamlet of beautifully restored buildings sensitively landscaped, and what a delight awaited. Walking in through the front door made me smile, no sludgey paint here, instead a confident pallate of wall paper, eclectic pictures and funiture. The entire house was so generously furnished and appointed that I couldn't praise it enough. I haven't even mentioned the catering yet - that too was amazing. Counting down the days to my next visit..... thank you Telfit
