The details

Watch the sunset over the beautiful shores of the Malltraeth Estuary in North West Wales with friends and family in a tranquil, rewilded garden. This stunning property is a sanctuary of peace of quiet for up to six people to stay in luxury and style.

The huge cathedral-style ceiling and full-length trapezoid windows fill the open-plan living and dining area with light. Glorious views over the Afon Cefni lead up to imposing hills in the distance, often covered in snow during the winter months. In warmer times, open the sliding doors to the large patio and rewilded garden that leads to the water’s edge and onto the beach. Kids can explore the gardens complete with trees, a den area and a trampoline. Entertain friends and loved ones with alfresco dining as the evening draws in, or embrace the new day with your morning coffee and breakfast by the water.

Entering into the house, you’re greeted with a minimalist yet cosy open plan kitchen, living and dining area. The comfy sofas are perfect for sinking into after a long day exploring the Anglesey countryside. The dining table and fully-equipped kitchen contain everything you need to fill empty stomachs and spend the evenings socialising with loved ones. For those looking for some extra peace, there’s a mezzanine above the kitchen that’s great for reading, relaxing or taking in the stunning views of both sides of the house. As the night draws in, head to the TV snug and cuddle up under a blanket in front of a film or play some games.

When the time comes to rest those sleepy heads, choose from one of two king size beds or twin beds for the kids. Hotel-quality bedding and towels make sure you sleep comfortably and wake up refreshed for a full day exploring Anglesey.

Malltraeth is synonymous with wild dramatic beaches, beautiful countryside and a forest reserve that’s great for exploring. Whether it’s walking the Anglesey coast path, cycling in the forest or even kayaking on the river, The Brackens is your perfect base on Anglesey. For something slower-paced, relax on the beaches of Malltraeth Sands or Newborough. When the tide is low enough, embrace your romantic side with a sandy walk to Llanddwyn Island, also known as Lover’s Island. Explore the village of Malltraeth or the town of Rhosneigr for a range of fantastic cafes, restaurants and pubs.
