Grand and opulent, this marvellous home sits in the heart of a beautiful historic estate a short drive from the stunning Northumberland coast. Sleeping up to 12 guests across six lovely bedrooms, this is the ideal destination for your next celebratory escape with family or friends.

When you arrive, you can gather in one of three superb living rooms, which ooze classic charm, with high ceilings, big windows and lots of super-comfy seating. Get comfy with a glass of wine or a nice warm cuppa as you catch up with loved ones and gaze at the sprawling lawns outside. Two of the living rooms have open fires and the other has a wood-burner, so you’ll stay toasty and warm whatever the weather outside.

On warm days you’ll want to step outside, where you can wander the big gardens and breathe in the fresh country air. Lounge on lush lawns whilst grazing at uninterrupted views across the Vale of Whittingham, or challenge your loved ones to a game of croquet. You can also explore one of the finest walled gardens in the county or wander the beech-hedged maze.

Back inside, the kitchen is wonderfully equipped for whipping up delicious meals for your loved ones, making grand feasts a joy. It features a traditional AGA for some classic cooking, and has a nice dining table for hearty breakfasts or group lunches. There’s also a second, more formal dining room that sets the scene for epic dinners that stretch into the night.

When night falls, all of the bedrooms are located upstairs, providing spacious and comfortable accommodation, perfect for families and groups. Thoughtfully and classically decorated, each room offers charming views over the gardens and grounds, creating a relaxing and elegant retreat. Two of the rooms boast luxurious super-king beds, while three feature king size beds for a restful night’s sleep. Additionally, one room is set as a twin but can easily be arranged as a super-king to suit your needs, ensuring flexibility and comfort for every guest.

Northumberland offers endless opportunities for relaxation and adventure. Stroll along the sandy shores of Warkworth and Alnmouth, visit Holy Island or take a boat trip to the Farne Islands for stunning wildlife. History enthusiasts can explore iconic castles such as Warkworth, Bamburgh and Alnwick, while the charming market towns of Rothbury, Alnwick and Morpeth are perfect for browsing unique shops. From scenic walks and cycling to more adventurous outdoor activities, the area provides something special for every visitor.
