With a large main raised bed built into the space and additional raised sleeping space for up to two more guests, The Moon Cocoon is a dreamy and delightful getaway either for couples looking for a romantic, pared down, rural experience or adventurous young families seeking to spend quality time together in a rugged but comfortable destination.
The space itself is charming, built from sustainable local materials, and packed with fab design features. The Moon Cocoon is kept snug in the colder months by a wood-burning stove, fed with local logs, and in the summer months it stays cool and light-filled throughout the day. The built-in bed faces a large window with staggeringly beautiful views, and each aesthetic and architectural decision, from the two-burner hob to the domed ceiling, has been made with beauty, comfort and pleasure in mind.
The space is insulated with sheep's wool in the cavities, and benefits from a living roof, with sedum which the local pollinators love. Days are spent exploring the farm, hiking or biking over the surrounding hills and valleys, and checking out the surrounding towns and villages. From your first cup of coffee in the morning until you end the evening gazing up at the clear, starry skies, you'll be sure to love this absolutely amazing location. There's also a separate cabin nearby with more cooking equipment, where you can whip up a feast, dine with your loved one or unwind on the big sofa.
