Nestled high up on a hillside on the north east coast of Corfu island, surrounded by olive and cypress trees, sits Villa Genna. From this stunning Mediterranean villa you can gaze down over treetops at the Ionian Sea, appreciating the magnificence of nature. With the bay down below, and the sun overhead, you’ll breathe the fresh sea air and basque in the beautiful serenity of this magnificent holiday villa. Comfortably sleeping six guests, in three spacious bedrooms, Villa Genna offers wonderful access to some of the island’s most picturesque beaches whilst also having a delightful sun terrace and gorgeous private swimming pool. This is the perfect family getaway.
Out on the terrace you can dine as the sun sets in the distance, enjoy a BBQ in the afternoon, or spend your days spread out topping up your tan with a book by the side of the pool. Step inside and you have an elegant and pristine villa with classic white tiled floors, and pretty shades of pastel colours. The living room, with its magnificent views, has a large comfy sofa, satellite TV, and a selection of movies and books. You can also light up the fireplace if you're there off season and cosy up with a bottle of wine in the evening. There’s free WiFi throughout, and the fully functional kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need to cook up some delicious locally sourced food. The luxurious and comfy bedrooms are a delight. The two master bedrooms have large double beds, with en suite bathrooms, and the the children’s bedroom has two single beds. Each bedroom also has its own door that opens up onto the lovely veranda.
Kalami Beach is a mere 2km away and is a sight to behold as the luscious green hillsides meet the fine shingle beach with its mesmerising deep blue and green coloured sea.. The beach also has some fabulous restaurants and bars, as well as a supermarket where you can stock up on supplies. Kalami was actually home to the famous Durrel family for a while in the 1930s with their old 'White House' near the beach now a restaurant you cna dine at. Koloura Cove, which is a traditional fishing port and has some colourful painted buildings, is also nearby. Sit and gaze as the fishing boats make their way in and out of the bay, and enjoy some amazing local food at the incredible fish taverna. There are also a number of other great beaches nearby, as well as the cracking village of Kassiopi, which is the nearest to Villa Genna and has a rich history as well as a beautiful port. Again, Kassiopi has a plethora of amazing restaurants, is popular with tourists and also has great nightlife in summer.

Really enjoyed our stay at the fabulous Villa Genna. It is essential to have a car as nowhere nearby to walk to but the flip side is amazing views from on high and complete privacy. Newly refurbished upper floor is wonderful and it is clean and tastefully furnished. The owner Spiros is really helpful and offers good ideas if you need them. Two weeks chilling by the pool, boat hiring, sea bathing at a nearby secluded cove and a mix of cooking at home, cocktails on the terrace and trying some great local tavernas. Bliss.
