The details
Tucked into the heart of Little Langdale, Wetherlam View is a beautifully renovated chalet-style retreat with some of the most impressive south-facing views in the valley. Floor-to-ceiling bifold doors and a wide balcony frame Wetherlam Fell, Swirl How and the Tilberthwaite Valley, creating a constant connection to the landscape. Whether you’re gathered around the table after a long walk or watching the light shift across the fells from the sofa, this is a place designed to make the most of its setting. Inside, the house has been thoughtfully modernised to balance style, comfort and practicality. The open-plan living space is generous and light-filled, with a large Smart TV, a sleek bio-ethanol fireplace and bifold doors opening onto the balcony. The kitchen-dining area is equally social, well equipped for relaxed group meals and long breakfasts, with doors that spill straight out onto the terrace for alfresco dining on warmer days. Sleeping arrangements are flexible and well suited to groups or extended families. The main house has three beautifully finished bedrooms, including a spacious master bedroom with ensuite and underfloor heating, a twin room with ensuite and a further double bedroom with its own dedicated bathroom. A separate annex provides additional space for extra guests, offering privacy without losing the feeling of being together. For downtime, Wetherlam View really comes into its own. There’s a dedicated cinema and games room with an 85-inch Smart TV and arcade games, alongside a sauna for post-walk relaxation. Dog owners are especially well catered for, with a professional dog wash and grooming area, a clever underfloor dog hotel and plenty of space for muddy paws to dry off. Outdoor patio and balcony furniture is provided between easter and October along with a gas BBQ, which makes unwinding in the summer sunshine a delight. Grill up some delicious local produce and take in your surroundings in style. Step outside and you’re perfectly placed for exploring Little Langdale on foot.
