Just returned from a 4 nights stay at RooksNest. The hut was great. Great style and design features. Good quality fittings and light and spacious space. We were fortunate to have great weather so didn’t need to use the log burner, but could imagine it would be very cozy in the winter months. The sauna and hot tub were great and easy to use. We didn’t get around to using the outdoor BBQ but again in the summer this place would be awesome too with its outside facilities and sun bathing deck. We loved that the creators had consider the eco features and the car charging point was great to have at the property. There is a very tiny lane up to the property. We arrived late evening in the dark. It was tight for a wide car, so I’d recommend arriving in good light so you can suss out the driveway. There is not much in the small village of stoke Fleming, but enough for a meal at a lovely Italian, a pub and a post office, plus a great beach very close by. Rooks Nest was a great find on Coolstays and we were given a discount as booked last minute. I would highly recommend this private holiday rental.

Every aspect of this stay is amazing. Me and my partner stayed here for her 30th. We were both blown away by the quality of everything, from the construction and space to the appliances and small finishes. Left speechless by the tranquility of the area and the awe at the views, it immediately feels like you are somewhere very special. The hot tub and sauna are easy to use, high quality and very clean. The well-stocked log store on site was also a very good touch. All elements feel luxurious and it seems great thought and effort has been given to cater the small things that you may need during your stay. No trips to the shops to get dishwasher tablets etc. The cooking facilities are excellent and Richard was available during our stay, with very good communication and extremely friendly. We spoke to the guests staying at the other chalet on site and we all agreed that this might be the only time we've not wanted to leave the accomodation while on holiday. Every moment spent trying to enjoy yourselves elsewhere feels inferior to the luxury of the Rooks Nest, feeling a pull to return at the earliest opportunity. My girlfriend suffers with debilitating eczema, to the point that water and heat are big triggers of inflammation normally. I don't know if it was the climate, water or air but as soon as we arrived, her skin began to clear up and gave her an unprecedented level of relief that we had not seen before, nor since. I cannot recommend the Rooks Nest enough, utterly outstanding.
