The details

Tucked away in the heart of the Conwy countryside, these two charming shepherds' huts offer a perfect escape for couples on the edge of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. Both huts are exclusively yours for the duration of your stay.

These lovely huts offer you the chance to relax and unwind in peace with the sounds of the nearby stream trickling by. Get comfy in your deck chair as you breathe in the fresh country air and keep your eyes peeled for the resident barn owl gliding gracefully through the meadow. When the weather’s not so warm, head inside and get cosy in front of the wood-burning fireplace as you tuck into a good book.

Inside, the first hut offers a cosy retreat with a plush double bed made up with luxurious linens and warming Welsh blankets. There’s even a soft sheepskin rug direct from the Welsh mountains. After a peaceful night’s sleep, head to the second shepherd's hut, which is the private wash hut, that is just steps away from your door, and is complete with a shower, WC and a wash basin. And to top it off, you even have access to a fabulous wood-fired sauna offering you the perfect chance to unwind after a day hiking the surrounding mountains.

When it comes to meal times, you can whip up a feast in the fully-equipped outdoor kitchen. Here you have access to a gas BBQ, a single burner and a coolbox for storing produce. There’s also a picnic table here so you can enjoy alfresco meals as you spot local wildlife coming and going.

You and you’re loved one can also make use of some fab outdoor seating and the firepit, which you can light to stay warm as the sun begins to set. And, once night falls, you’ll be able to make the most of the lack of light pollution and stargaze as the sky comes alive in a way you've never seen before.

If you want to head out and explore the area then the Gwydir Forest Park and Eryri National Park are a paradise for nature lovers and adventurers alike. Wander through ancient woodlands and discover hidden lakes, waterfalls and scenic viewpoints. Hike or cycle the many trails, including routes leading to the dramatic Swallow Falls or Llyn Geirionydd.

In Eryri, tackle the iconic peaks, like Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), or explore tranquil valleys. Wildlife watching, rock climbing and even kayaking are all on offer for unforgettable outdoor experiences.
