The details
Feel at one with nature and discover peace and tranquillity at the Bergaliv Loft House, a 33 foot construction among the Swedish treetops. The property sits on the hillside of the Asberget mountain in the north of the country. Set across 2 stories, the Loft House is lifted from the ground by a timber framework in order to not disturb the natural habitat it has become part of. The interior is designed to be minimalist and to have disregarded any unnecessary clutter and noise so up to 2 guests staying can also de-clutter their mind. Large windows allow light to flood in onto the mainly pale wood, which has been insulated with flax fibres to adhere to old Nordic building traditions. In the downstairs living quarters, comfortable futon mattresses are hung from the wall in order to allow as much space as possible for activities, with linen sheets on a sisal and wool mat ensuring a great night's sleep. There are further wooden benches in the window for rest and relaxation or seating during meal times, with a delicious breakfast including bread from the local baker provided. There is also a small bathroom. A wooden staircase leads up to the roofed outdoor terrace, where the walls have been stripped away to allow uninterrupted views of the beautiful surroundings. This peaceful vantage point is the perfect place to truly unwind. The creators of Bergaliv felt that the location high among the treetops on the mountain slope by the Ljusnan River Valley in Halsingland really captured the soul and they are looking to further that even after staying in the Loft House. Guests can then head to the Orbaden Spa and Resort down by the riverside, with access granted for one day as a complimentary part of their stay. The fantastic views help to make this experience even more special, which can be enjoyed whatever the season as the outdoor pools are heated and the sauna has large windows overlooking the river. Salus per aqua, or healing through water, is the main aim and is further provided by the indoor pool, hot tub, and mineral salt bath.
