The details

This stunning treehouse is hidden away in a secret valley, just below the spectacular Hartland Peninsula in North Devon. The gorgeous, handcrafted treehouse has been beautifully designed, with care and attention put into every detail to provide maximum comfort. Everything about this property oozes luxury, from the woodfired hot tub on the courtyard to the gold roll-top bath in the bedroom and another bath on the terrace, where guests can bathe under the stars. Surrounded by acres of idyllic countryside, it’s the perfect place to relax, unwind and spend some quality time with your family. It’s also ideally located to discover the best of Devon country and coast and within walking distance to a great selection of village pubs and restaurants.

The Nest is just as impressive as the environment it’s found in, and its delightful design perfectly compliments the tranquil surroundings. Inside you’ll find everything you could need (and more!) for an unforgettable getaway. Take the living room, tailor-made for ultimate relaxation with a deep comfy sofa that sits beside a wood burning stove and underfoor heating that keep the room warm and cosy all year round. Time to eat? You’ll find cooking a joy in the stylish kitchen, complete with oven, hob and Nespresso machine for your daily caffeine fix. You can soak up that fresh country air in two outdoor spaces, a courtyard and terrace. Why not hang around on the two-person Fatboy hammock, fire up the BBQ or pizza oven for alfresco cooking, or enjoy an indulgent soak in the woodfired hot tub and outdoor bath?

When it’s time to sleep, you can retreat to the lavish master bedroom’s super-king-size four-poster bed and snuggle up to a movie shown on the cinema projector. Oh, and there’s also a gold polish brass bath at the foot of the bed, and colour mood LED lighting to enhance the romantic experience. Little ones will be sure to love their room just as much, a separate ‘treehouse within the treehouse’ with bunk beds and colour changing lights. The opulent Scandinavian-inspired bathroom rounds off the property, where premium toiletries, fluffy towels, robes and slippers are provided for guests.

If you’re able to pry yourselves away from your magical abode, you’ll be spoilt for choice with things to do and places to see in. Why not explore the 20 acres of surrounding woodland and wildflower meadows or walk to nearby Hartland village, home to many shops, pubs and eateries? You’ll also have great access to the coast, with spectacular Hartland Quay nearby, and a great selection of beaches, where you can swim in crystal-clear waters or try out some watersports.

Stayed September 2025

Stayed in 'The Nest' beginning of June and what a wonderful place..perfect for me to relax after my operation. The living room, bedroom and bathroom are simply stunning! Little luxurious touches everywhere and even left us a owl jam/cream sponge and a bottle of bubbly. The courtyard with hot tub, pizza oven etc was great and fully secure for the dog and very private. The surroundings are very picturesque and nice for a leisurely stroll, our dog loved the stream and had to visit it several times daily ????. We met Jay on the last day and she was really pleasant and easy to talk to and gave us some good information about the area...would definitely love to go again in the future.
