You should know
- Babies (not yet walking at the time of stay) are free of charge - we do suggest you book a deluxe room if you need the space for a travel cot.
- Two pet-friendly rooms.
- There is main line rail service from London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Edinburgh to Oxenholme (The Lake District), with connecting services to Windermere.
- Stagecoach buses operate from Windermere rail station. The 555 service drops you off nearly at the door. The 599 terminates in Grasmere village.
- National Express operate a daily coach service (570) from London, Milton Keynes, Coventry & Birmingham to Grasmere.

The seven boutique rooms are all ensuite and all have an elegant high-end finish. The gorgeous on-site Bistro is open for both brekkie and tea and serves up a wonderful array of dishes.
